The Edwin J. Wadas Foundation, Inc. recently announced $101,508.96 grant to Arc Herkimer.

This grant will provide for the installation of a new turf surface and dugouts at the Basloe Field Little League infield at Arc Park. The new turf will allow children of all abilities a surface to play baseball, softball, kickball and more.

“Play is incredibly valuable for children of all ages. Special needs may create barriers to play that we are hoping this turf field can help to eliminate. Inclusive play spaces are a valuable asset to communities allowing children of all ages and abilities to thrive.” said Victoria Cataldo, foundation’s executive director.

“We can’t be more thankful to the Wadas Foundation for the opportunity to further enhance our Arc Park. This new ball field and dugouts will complete what is already an amazing community asset. The new facility will serve the residents of the Mohawk Valley with a first-class option for recreation!” said President/CEO of Arc Herkimer Kevn Crosley.
