Rome Health announced the addition of nurse practitioner Megan Hollister to the Camden Health Center. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare, Hollister brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for patient care to her new role as a family nurse practitioner.
Hollister’s journey in healthcare began with an interest in midwifery, but her path led her to discover a passion for cardiac nursing, where she worked at St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse. After years of dedicated service in cardiac care, she transitioned to providing in-home patient care, which inspired her to further her education. “I realized I wanted to take a more active role in my patients’ overall health,” Hollister explained. “That’s when I decided to return to school to become a family nurse practitioner.”
As an FNP, Hollister cherishes the opportunity to care for patients across all stages of life, from newborns to those in their golden years. “I love helping patients prevent disease and manage their health challenges,” she said. “Being able to make a meaningful difference in their lives is incredibly rewarding.” Hollister emphasized how proud she is to be working for Rome Health, and serving the Camden area.
